Matt has been actively involved in the real estate industry since 2009 when he graduated from the University of Kansas. Matt became a Certified Real Property appraiser in 2013, and received the MAI designation in 2016. Matt served on the board for the Kansas City Chapter of the Appraisal Institute from 2014 to 2020, and served as the President of the chapter in 2019. He has experience providing high quality appraisal and consulting assignments in a broad variety of property types that range from small owner occupied properties to large institutional portfolios.

Daniel has been active in the real estate industry since 2007 when he graduated from the Missouri State University with a degree in Real Estate Finance. Before this, he was in the computer science program at UMKC. Daniel became a Certified Real Property appraiser in 2009, and received the MAI designation in 2017. He has served the Kansas City Chapter of the Appraisal Institute since 2014 and served as president in 2022. He has experience providing technical appraisal and consulting assignments including tax appeal, eminent domain, and estate valuation in a broad variety of property types. Over the last five years he has appraised over 4 million square feet of industrial space including mega-distribution centers, special-use manufacturing facilities, truck sales/repair facilities, and redevelopment projects. He also enjoys appraising mobile home parks, and going concern valuations of convenience stores and quick service restaurants.

Brock holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a State Certified General Appraiser licensed in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa. Appraisal services have been utilized for a multitude of purposes including lending, eminent domain, tax/estate planning, feasibility analysis, litigation, partial interest valuations, rent studies, market studies, and property tax appeals. Brock has extensive experience in a wide range of property types including existing and proposed hotels, office, industrial, retail, multifamily, and vacant land, as well as special-purpose properties including schools, religious facilities, golf courses, movie theaters, and car washes.

Brock additionally served as the 2023 Board President of the Kansas City Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, is a Candidate Advisor for the Appraisal Institute, and recently attended the Appraisal Institute's Leadership Development and Advisory Council (LDAC) in Washington, D.C. where he helped further establish an "appraiser presence" in Congress.

Brian entered the appraisal profession in 1993, after earning a business degree from Wichita State University. Brian became a Certified General Real Property Appraiser in July 1997 and received the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in March 2008. He serves as director of the Lawrence/Topeka Market. Brian has more than 22 years’ experience in appraising apartments; churches/religious facilities; hotel/motel facilities, including independent and national chain; offices, including single and multi-tenant, as well as medical facilities; retail centers, including neighborhood, community and “big-box” retail properties; restaurants, including local, fast food and national chain. Brian specializes in appraising hotel/motel and industrial properties, including manufacturing, warehouses, and particularly large facilities located in smaller rural communities. When not at work, he enjoys reading, spending time with family and travelling with his wife.

Stephen Hughes, MAI, SGA

Steve has over thirty years of experience in commercial real estate, and has been a member of the nationwide Society of Golf Appraisers (SGA) since 1993.  He also holds an MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a certified general appraiser in Kansas and Missouri.  Steve has authored articles on golf courses published in the Appraisal Journal and Golf Course Management (Golf Course Superintendents) and by the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO).  He has spoken on appraising golf courses for Ad Valorem tax purposes at an IAAO International Convention in Miami, an IAAO course on appraising golf courses in Phoenix, the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) annual convention tax round table in Tampa and to Wisconsin and Iowa NGCOA chapters. He has spoken to local IAAO chapters as well in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Wisconsin.

Tim has been actively involved in the real estate industry since 1989 and founded Keller & Associates in 1996. He is past president of the Kansas City Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and former Chairman of the Kansas Real Estate Appraisal Board. He has extensive experience developing, leasing and managing commercial real estate. Tim has served on several civic boards of directors. He and his wife Judy are the proud parents of three daughters.

Daniel Craig, MAI

Dan entered the appraisal profession in 1984, after earning a law degree from the University of Kansas. After a brief stint in the company’s Topeka headquarters, Dan was instrumental in starting the Craig & Company Kansas City office, which merged with Keller & Associates in 2014. Dan serves as director of the Kansas City Market. Dan has earned a notable reputation for bringing clarity to complex problems and is often the appraiser of choice for some of the most challenging appraisal and consulting assignments in our area. Dan has served on several boards and committees related to real estate and/or community service. When not at work, he is actively involved in Rotary Club and his church. Dan and his wife and two sons love to travel abroad.

 

Mark Baker, MAI

Mark has been in the valuation profession since 1988 when he began working for the Farm Service Agency as a loan officer. Mark began appraising full time in 2006 and is certified in Kansas and Missouri. He received his MAI designation in 2017, and is a graduate of Kansas State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture. His appraisal experience reflects a variety of property types and circumstances, including lodging facilities, industrial properties, office, retail, and mixed-use properties, church facilities, and many others. Mark was raised on a small registered cattle farm and specializes in agricultural and agribusiness properties, including farms and ranches of any size, recreational properties, livestock confinement facilities, agronomy facilities, and grain elevators. Outside of the office, Mark and his wife are involved in their local church, spend time with international college students, and he enjoys hiking, fishing, watching sports, and road trips with his wife.

Dennis Dull, MAI

Dennis’ three decades of professional practice in real estate includes; appraisal and consulting services in all of the major commercial property types, sales representation in both commercial and residential, multi-family property management, and residential construction. He is honored to be serving on the board of the Kansas City Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and is the outgoing 2018 president. Dennis has given executive leadership to non-profits on both the local and national level. His education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Arkansas and a Master’s of Divinity from the Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, California. When not at work, Dennis enjoys serving in his local church. He and his wife Kathy are the joyful parents of five sons and enjoy almost anything outdoors.
